Overview video dike-strengthening at Neer

Enjoy glimpses of the 2-year project of Strukton-Van den Herik at Neer for Waterschap Limburg: strengthening the dike ring over 1800m, including the strengthening of a ‘hard barrier’ of 550m. This bird-fly movie gives a nice overview of the activities in 2019, the process of creating a sustainable dike that will provide safety for at least 50 years to follow.

The project includes transportation of 70.000m3 of clay, of which 40.000m3 is being re-used.

Soon we will be at the stage of placing a unique glass wall at high-water level. These glass barriers will be scientifically tested in January 2020 at Deltares in Delft.
