Our country and water; they are inseparable. Besides our beautiful North Sea coast, our landscape includes canals, ditches, ponds and rivers. We are famous for how we live through and with all that water. This is as fascinating as it is threatening, because water is powerful and sometimes unpredictable. The sea level is rising, river discharges have greater peaks and we have to adapt ourselves and our landscape accordingly. That is what we do every day!
