We keep the hinterland safe with effective solutions in earth moving, the installation of (stone) revetment and the realization of flood defense structures. We have our own equipment to work from both land and water. When deploying equipment, we always look at how we can reduce emissions as much as possible. Consequently, more and more of our own equipment is electric or hybrid.
Working together for strong dikes
The Netherlands has a major task in strengthening our dikes. Through the High-Water Protection Program (HWBP), together we have about 2,000 kilometers of levees to raise and strengthen in the coming decades. Multiple disciplines come together here, think earthwork, constructions such as sheet piling and stone and siding. We have the knowledge and expertise to successfully complete any type of levee project. 
Innovative retaining wall in Limburg
In the Limburg town of Neer, we raised and partially replaced the existing 1.6-km-long dike, including a retaining wall, new cutoffs and modifications to weirs. In part, this retaining wall is executed with glass panels. A unique and innovative application. Thanks to the glass barrier, the residents now live on the Meuse River while maintaining the beautiful view, yet protected from the water.
Clear communication
Working on and around a dike is often complex because of a dike’s many functions. A dike is not only a barrier, but often a road, bike path, residential, recreational or natural area.
We are therefore firmly committed to good environmental management to keep the project on track through good communication with the environment. Consider local residents, businesses and other stakeholders.
Piping Control: an in-house developed, innovative method to apply geotextile vertically in the (toe of the) dike and prevent piping. This method is more durable, offers little inconvenience and is accurate and fast. Want to know more about this innovative approach?
