The application process

Step 2

Do we see a possible match? We are happy to meet, live or digitally. This introductory meeting is with an HR colleague and a professional from day-to-day practice.

Step 4

Still a match? We’ll make you an offer to join us. Depending on the position and the situation, you or we may want to get to know each other a little better before we make a decision. One or more additional interviews, or a visit to a project or department are of course possible.

Step 1

Ready for your next step? Apply for an open position or send an open application.

Step 3

Are you and we enthusiastic? Then we will go into a little more depth during a second interview. Preferably live at our office.

Step 5

Can we work it out together? Then we wish you lots of job satisfaction at our wonderful company!

YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES SPEAKING

We follow the market closely and come up with our own innovations. We invest in smart and sustainable solutions in terms of equipment, data, IT and in the development of our people. We make things happen and a deal is a deal, but we are flexible because we must always move with nature. We at Van den Herik are proud. Proud of our work, our people and our corporate culture. People; colleagues, clients and suppliers, feel at home with us and everyone is welcome. We are social and have an eye for safe and sustainable operations. We don’t like to waste and feel partly responsible for the world we leave behind for generations to come.

In addition to simply good working conditions, according to the Collective Labor Agreement for Construction or Hydraulic Engineering (job dependent) you will notice this by, among other things:

  • With us, you are not a number in a personnel file. We have an eye for you as a person and your situation.
  • Together with The Great Bubble Barrier, we are fighting against plastic in our waters as a Technical Partner of this club, will you join us?
  • We give you the opportunity to invest in yourself and to continue to develop. Would you like to work as a planner or designer outside on a project or the other way around and get to know a different side of your work and yourself? A lot is possible with us!
  • We love being on and around the water; you may get your boating license at our expense if you don’t already have one.
  • Several times a year we organize the Van den Herik Knowledge Café, a meeting where we share knowledge about projects, developments and innovations. This way you know what is going on and you learn from each other. Afterwards we chat during the closing drinks.
  • Parties at Christmas, New Year, a Summer Event and once every 5 years a fantastic Herik weekend!
  • At these most parties, your partner, if any, is also welcome, because we think it’s important to know who belongs to you as well.
