Hydraulic structures and engineering structures are crucial components of (water) infrastructure. A growing problem is that structures and artworks are aging and in need of replacement or renovation.

For example, we replace wooden and steel jetties, mooring posts of various sizes, sheet piling, and fender works. In our large warehouse in Sliedrecht we have all the space and facilities for renovation and construction of such structures. The work is often complex and, in addition, often involves a greater or lesser degree of inconvenience to shipping, road traffic, businesses or local residents.

Flexibility and thinking along

We don’t shy away from urgent jobs either. In Scheveningen’s 2nd harbor, they discovered in the spring of 2023 that the Dr. Lelykade quay wall was unstable. The wish: a stable and safe quay wall again before the start of the Volvo Ocean Race on June 11. test

From the beginning of May, in cooperation with the municipality, the engineering and work preparation was completed within 3 weeks. Subsequently, the quay was stabilized using soil protection, among other things. By working quickly with the client and third parties, the public enjoyed the sailing spectacle, also from the Dr. Lelykade.

Renovate and act fast

Our expertise was demonstrated, for example, in the renovation of Koninginnensluis part A. Here we renovated parts of the lock and replaced the lock gates with new ones in the middle of a residential area in Nieuwegein.

With good communication and measures to maintain safety and accessibility, the project was carried out with minimal disruption to the surrounding area.

We have extensive experience and expertise in working on and around artworks and are happy to contribute to their design, renovation or realization in order to keep our infrastructure safe and accessible. We also take care of matters such as environmental management and communication with, for example, local residents in such projects.
