The Roggebot combination (Mobilis, Van Gelder and Van den Herik) is working jointly on the N307 Roggebot-Kampen project. The project is the final piece of the Room for the River IJssel Delta program, which has made the river area of the Netherlands safer and more beautiful. With the demolition of the Roggebot lock, water can also be drained into the IJsselmeer via the Reevediep during high water on the IJssel. The project also gives another boost to the flow on the Alkmaar-Zwolle connection. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Improved traffic flow N307<\/strong>
\nWith the demolition of the lock, a new 300-meter-long bridge has been built at this location, which opens considerably less frequently for shipping. Parallel roads have been built along the N307, connected by a new viaduct, among other things. Furthermore, measures have been taken to promote bicycle safety. <\/p>\n

Project in outline<\/strong>
\nThe old road with traffic circle at the Roggebot lock between the Vossemeer and Drontermeer has made way for new infrastructure with separate solutions for slow and fast traffic. The Roggebot lock, the old bridge and dam were removed. With this, the separation between the Vossemeer and Drontermeer disappeared and the water can flow freely. In order to span the large distance of one hundred meters between the two banks, a new, partially movable bridge with a headway of 7 meters was built. The moveable is operated remotely from the central control room of the Province of Flevoland. In addition, dredging work was carried out and the flood defenses on the Overijssel and Flevoland sides were reinforced and a bottom defense was installed. <\/p>\n

Now that all work related to the construction and improvement of the area has been fully completed, the acreage has been transferred to the various end managers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our colleague Senna de Groot, tractor driver, was interviewed about his work on the construction of the new N307 Roggebot – Kampen. A large project team where many colleagues from different companies work together. <\/strong>
\nEveryone here contributes to the bigger picture, and when all those little wheels fall together, great achievements are possible. “In the beginning, you bring sand from one side to the other and back again, then sometimes you think: what am I doing it for?”<\/em> says Senna with a laugh. “In the keet, then, it was sometimes said that things were not getting along, but there really is a lot happening behind the scenes! Still, it’s nice to see now what has changed. You’ve been working towards it unnoticed all this time. So yes, when I look around me like this I do take credit for my work.”<\/em><\/p>\n
