The water bottom and banks near rivers, coasts and structures must be protected from erosion and the influence of currents and waves. We have the knowledge, skills and equipment to strengthen or restore the stability of waterbeds and riparian zones where necessary and then monitor and maintain them. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Protection of bottoms and banks can be done in a variety of ways, such as stone dumping, breakwaters, dams and groynes. Each situation requires its own solution. We have the know-how to see which solution provides the best and most sustainable result in which area. <\/p>\n

The specialist in zinc and corbels<\/strong>
\nOne of our absolute areas of expertise is the installation of zinc and corbels. We have the right equipment and experienced employees with extensive knowledge in this field. The classic sink and collar piece<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Zinc pieces are used to prevent soil erosion; corbels are used to protect banks. Classic zinc and collar pieces are made from bunches of twisted together branches or “cradles” as the bundles of willow twigs are called. <\/p>\n

From these cradles a framework is then formed which is the base of a zinc or collar piece. A second framework is placed at right angles to it and they are joined together with a special kind of rope, which secures itself when it gets wet. The frames of cradles are filled with bunches of brushwood. These are the smaller branches and toes of the willow tree. <\/p>\n

This ancient technique is still in use and, when made according to the traditional method, i.e. entirely of willow, tremendously durable<\/strong>!<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n

Where we used to tie the entire zinc piece together with natural materials, over time we have moved more and more to using non-natural materials. A nice trend in recent years is that we are actually going back to more sustainable alternatives and natural materials. So in my early years we were actually way ahead of our time!“<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stone deposits<\/strong>
\nIn addition to the installation of sinks, we also calculate, design and realize granular filter structures of all types and sizes. Here we arrange several layers of stones of different sizes in a specific order. This allows water to pass through, but keeps materials such as sand or clay in place.
