PROJECT N307 ROGGEBOT - KAMPEN COMPLETED<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The N307 Roggebot-Kampen project was officially delivered and handed over yesterday during a festive gathering. Commissioned by the Province of Flevoland, the Province of Overijssel and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, Combinatie Roggebot (consisting of Mobilis, Van Gelder and Van den Herik) carried out the N307 Roggebot-Kampen project. It was a project where water, road and civil construction came together with a final handover to eight final managers. Project realization began in 2020 and was completed in spring 2024. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Improved traffic flow N307<\/strong>
\nThe aim of the project was to improve traffic flow and traffic safety on the N307 between Dronten and Kampen and to increase water safety in the IJssel Delta region. A feature of the project is the connection of the N307 with the water system of the Vossemeer and Drontermeer. <\/p>\n

The old Roggebot lock gave way to a new higher bridge, which will require less frequent opening for shipping. The design of the new bridge, with a span of almost 300 meters from dike to dike, aims to provide as much space as possible for the water (Room for the River) and to hinder road traffic as little as possible. Because road traffic is given priority over shipping during rush hour, this promotes traffic flow and contributes to traffic safety. The N307 itself was also upgraded. Thus parallel roads and flyovers have been constructed and measures have been taken for bicycle safety. <\/p>\n

Room for the River<\/strong>
\nProject N307 Roggebot-Kampen is part of two larger programs: ‘the road from A to Z’ focused on the Alkmaar-Zwolle road link and the ‘Room for the River’ program, which has made the river area in the Netherlands safer and more beautiful. The demolition of the Roggebot lock will also ensure that high water from the IJssel River flows into the IJsselmeer via the Reevediep. <\/p>\n

Work<\/strong>
\nThe work consisted of: the construction of a new, partially movable bridge (300 m) with greater headroom, the construction of a viaduct over the N307 for local traffic, adjusting dikes to the new situation, replacing the infrastructure (N307) with separate roads for slow and fast traffic, the construction of various engineering structures including a culvert bridge and various fauna passages, the demolition of the Roggebot lock and the existing bridge and the (re)design of the landscape.<\/p>\n

After completion, the project was immediately transferred to the eight end managers province of Overijssel, province of Flevoland, water board Drents Overijsselse Delta, water board Zuiderzeeland, Rijkswaterstaat, Staatsbosbeheer, municipality of Kampen and municipality of Dronten.<\/p>\n
